GenStat Pricing

GenStat for Windows is sold on an annual rental and perpetual basis. Both options are available on a stand alone PC or on a server. VSNi offers competitive rates for all of their licensing options.

Annual Rental licenses

Annual Rental licenses are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Licenses will expire after a year and will need to be renewed each year.

Including:

• Upgrades to new editions within the annual rental period
• Replacement license keys within the annual rental period
• Additional license keys for home or laptop use, within the annual rental period (for licensee only)
• Technical support and advice from the developers of GenStat within the annual rental period

Perpetual licenses

Perpetual licenses are permanent and will not expire. They allow you to have the perpetual right to use the software at the current version purchased.

The prices below are for a single PC licence (excluding VAT). A Network License can be purchased by contacting the VSNi Sales Team directly.

Only available to degree granting bodies for faculty, research, teaching and student use – Annual Rental ONLY.

Academic

Only available to degree granting bodies for faculty, research, teaching and student use.

Not-for-Profit

Only available to not for profit research organisations and registered charities.

Commercial

All other business categories, including governmental research organisations undertaking consultancy.

GenStat Support and Maintenance

When a perpetual license is purchased for GenStat, whether it being for a stand alone PC or network, VSNi offer a support and maintenance contract which is optional. The support and maintenance contract is purchased on an annual basis and runs for 1 year from the date GenStat is purchased. The support and maintenance contract will need to be renewed each year, if needed.

VSNi try to encourage users to purchase the support and maintenance contract as it offers many benefits including:

• Upgrades to new editions within the support period
• Replacement license keys within the support period
• 2 additional license keys for home or laptop use, within the support period (for licensee only)
• Technical support and advise from the developers of GenStat within the support period

Just remember the support and maintenance contract is optional and will not affect your perpetual license, if not purchased.

Value Added Tax (VAT)

VAT applies if:

• Your organisation is within the UK
• Your organisation is within the EU and does not have a VAT number
• You are a private individual from within the EU
• You are registering for a conference / course to be delivered within the UK

Otherwise VAT will be removed once you enter your organisation details as part of the payment process.
