Highlight units (rows) selected from Graph

This dialog allows you to highlight or select the cells of a spreadsheet using a selection of points made in a graph.

Coloured cells can be saved with the spreadsheet file and so are a permanent attribute of the spreadsheet.

Selected cells are just a transient attribute and will be lost when another selection is made or the selection cleared with the Esc key.

However the cells in a selection can be copied or cut (making all the cell missing values) to the clipboard or toggled to make them temporary missing values.

The menu items Next Selected cell or Next Coloured cell in the Select Menu can be used to jump to the next coloured or selected cells.

To select points in a graph, use the Tools | Data Information mode menu (shortcut key Ctrl+D) to activate the data info mode (the cursor now displays a question mark). Select the points by clicking on them or dragging a selection rectangle or polygon around them depending on the selection mode chosen in the Tool | Options menu on the Data Information tab (note the Units must be selected for copying). After the points have been selected, the selection of points can be copied to the clipboard using the Edit | Copy Data Information menu (shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+D).
