The Delete menu is available within the
Spread menu and can be used to delete rows, columns and
other attributes associated with a spreadsheet. Multiple rows or columns can be
deleted by making a multiple selection. In addition to
the Delete menu cells, rows or columns can be deleted by selecting the Delete item on the
Edit menu.
Current Row
Deletes the current row from the spreadsheet.
Selected Rows
Deletes all currently selected rows from the spreadsheet.
Empty Rows
Deletes any rows on the spreadsheet where all the cells contain missing values (*) or have empty cells. The
remaining rows will be renumbered.
Current Column
Deletes the current column from the spreadsheet.
Selected Columns
Deletes all currently selected columns from the spreadsheet.
Empty Columns
Deletes any columns on the spreadsheet where all the cells contain missing values (*) or have empty cells.
Empty Rows + Columns
Deletes any rows or columns on the spreadsheet where all the cells is the rows or columns contain
missing values (*) or have empty cells. The remaining rows will be renumbered. This option is useful
to reduce the size of a spreadsheet to contain only the rows or columns that contain the data.
Restricted Rows
All restricted/filtered rows are deleted. Restricted rows are usually hidden from view, but you
can make them visible by clicking the
button
or by selecting Display Restricted Rows from the
Restrict/Filter item of the Spread menu.
Unrestricted Rows
Unrestricted rows are deleted. When unrestricted rows are deleted the remaining restricted or excluded rows are
automatically made visible. Restricted rows can be made visible by clicking the
button
or by selecting Display Restricted Rows from the
Restrict/Filter item of the Spread menu.
Table Margins
For a Table spreadsheet with margins, this item will delete
the rows and columns displaying the margins of the table, leaving
just the body of the table.
Pointers
This opens a dialog which displays a list of the
currently defined pointers for a spreadsheet. You can use this dialog to delete one or all
of the pointers. You can create a pointer for a spreadsheet by selecting Spread|Sheet|Create Pointer
menu item.
