Rothamsted Research

RRES, or more formally Rothamsted Research, is generally credited with the original invention of many of the fundamental statistical methods still in use today. Rothamsted’s statistical research activities date back some 80 years to the days of their first Head of Statistics Department, the world-renowned R. A. Fisher (later Sir Ronald); many other famous statisticians have since contributed significantly to Rothamsted’s research activity.

NSW Department of Primary Industries

The NSW Department of Primary Industries was established to give rural and regional NSW a stronger voice in government and to better support primary industries in NSW. It was formed on 1 July 2004 by the merger of the NSW Department of Mineral Resources, State Forests NSW, NSW Agriculture and NSW Fisheries.

The Department builds on our strengths in the areas of mineral resources, forestry, agriculture and fisheries management. NSW DPI also provides high quality science and technology, and effective partnerships with industry.

The new organisation provides us with greater opportunities to address the highest priority issues for primary industries in NSW. For example, the Department is now the state’s largest provider of science, and is in a great position to provide our primary industries with the technology and partnerships needed for profitable and sustainable production. Agronomix Software, Inc

VSNi has collaborated with Agronomix Software, Inc., to develop a direct software link so that registered users of both software packages might realise the significant benefits of using them together. Specifically, VSNi has developed a suite of GenStat procedures so that users can store means and related statistics from ANOVA and REML analyses directly in Generation II through a special interface developed in Generation II by Agronomix Software.
